Pinealon is a synthetic tripeptide with the sequence Glu-Asp-Arg, also referred to as EDR. It is studied as part of the short peptide bioregulator class, with research interest focused on neuroprotective signaling, oxidative-stress response, cellular viability, and age-associated nervous system models. Published studies have evaluated Pinealon/EDR in experimental settings involving reactive oxygen species, neuronal cell protection, apoptosis-related pathways, ERK signaling, and gene-expression regulation.
